Sacred In Her Silence
Sacred In Her Silence
The Amur leopard is one of the rarest leopards in the world. Known amongst scientists as the “silent killer”. They began suffering extensive populations declines in the 1970s as a result of poaching, habitat loss, and reduced availability of prey. It’s predicted that there is less than 100 individuals left to be in the wild.
Although it’s demoralizing to hear of so many species going extinct every year, there are efforts being put into place to help bring this beautiful species back.
I want this painting to be emblematic of the beauty that our world still holds, despite the daily negative effects of mankind’s decisions. If we do not protect what is sacred, we are at risk of losing it all.
